Will I learn how my camera works at your Store ?

Of course! We’re familiar with most camera models, and in the basic photography course we’ll explain the key functions and help you adjust your camera’s settings to suit your needs.

Can I also ask you for advice about buying a camera?

As new models are launched every day and we do not represent any specific brands, we’d be happy to offer you advice and provide details of specialist shops where you can seek advice. 
However, for the time being, you can hire a camera from us for a small fee until you’re sure which one suits you best. This usually becomes clear during the first module of the basic course. If you’d like personalised advice, you can also book a private lesson.

I’m a complete beginner. Does it make sense to book a group photography course?

Certainly, as most people are beginners and we teach in small groups of no more than 6 participants. This means that even on the beginners’ course, we can always address your questions individually, and you’ll find yourself in a safe environment where everyone treats each other with respect.

If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to book private lessons, where you’ll be taught according to your current level and your individual preferences.

I’ve now built up a large archive of all my image files, but I can’t always find them and my file organisationis not ideal. What do you recommend?

In that case, our Lightroom course is just what you need – you’ll start by learning how to organise your files on your hard drive or in the cloud.

We also specialise in dealing with chaotic situations and will patiently help you with private lessons.

I’ve already taken photography courses, but I’d like to brush up on my knowledge. Which of your courses would you recommend?

It all depends on exactly what you’ve learnt before and what knowledge you already have. We’d be happy to offer you personalised advice and give you tips on the individual modules, such as the basics course, image composition, workflow with Lightroom, or even image reviews.

If you already know how to use a camera properly, have a good grasp of image composition and want to develop your own visual language, you might consider signing up for a specific course or a masterclass.

I’ve already attended several photography courses, but I’d like to delve deeper into photography and find my own visual style.

Our course modules and photography courses are structured so that you can gradually familiarise yourself with the subject matter. We place great emphasis on a creative approach to the medium, which sets us apart from most other providers. Photography Course 1 covers the foundational modules; from Photography Course 2 onwards, you’ll deepen your knowledge through theory and practice and create your first small project in the form of a themed photobook. Photography Course 3 is entirely dedicated to a long-term project, which focuses either on an individual theme or one chosen by a small group (max. 4 people).

I’ve been taking photographs for quite some time now, but I don’t get much expert feedback and I’m always unsure whether my pictures are any good.

Here, we recommend that you either join a portfolio review group in the safe setting of a small group of up to four people, or take advantage of our many years’ experience as an artist and photographer through private portfolio review sessions or project support. We will provide you with expert recommandation throughout your project, from the initial brainstorming stage through to its realisation, right up to publication or an exhibition.

Will I receive a course certificate, and will my employer reimburse me for the costs?

If you wish, we can provide you a certificate, but only if you have attended at least 80% of the course. However, as we operate in the leisure sector, this does not count towards CT points, although it is recognised as a bonus by reputable training institutions. Many companies cover certain course costs if the course is relevant to your profession.

In my office, image files are used by various staff members, which leads to problems with data organisation. How can this problem be resolved?

The Adobe Lightroom CC Classic Software is designed specifically for this purpose. We also offer bespoke courses for companies on request.

I’d like to organise or suggest a photography course for my office/company as a team-building event or corporate function. What do you offer?

We are happy to organise creative day trips for companies (up to around 15 people) on request, during which you can take photographs using a camera or mobile phone. The trip takes you from the countryside through urban landscapes to a photography exhibition, guaranteeing a unique and original experience.
